Should I Prioritize my Dunya or Aakhirah?

Islam teaches us something better than equality - Equity: Being just by giving everything it's due proportion. This applies to everything, whether it be prioritizing tasks in our lives, gender issues or striking a balance between the life of this world and the Hereafter.

The Last Day or the Day of Judgement is 50,000 (fifty thousand) years long as evident from (the translation of the meanings of) this verse: "The angels and the Rûh [Jibrîl] ascend to Him in a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years." [Surah al-Ma'aarij, 70:04]. We live in this world for about a 100 years. So if we take a ratio: 100/50,000 = 0.002 the due proportion we have to give to this world compared to just the Judgement Day (that is without considering the ETERNAL life of the Hereafter) is only 0.002. So are we, as Muslims really arranging our lives in accordance with this fact?

Think about it...

"Verily, this is an admonition, therefore whosoever wills, let him take a Path to His Lord!"
[Surah al-Muzzammil, 73:19]
